Men's Shelter Closing Doors For Summer
Cranbrook's Men's Shelter is wrapping up it's first year of use. Kootenay Christian Fellowship Board Member, Tom McCaughey says the number of people using the facility is what he expected.
McCaughey says the facility will be closing for the summer, no date has been set for the closure. McCaughey says the funding isn't sufficient to keep it open through the summer.
The Men's Shelter will open again in October.
McCaughey says the cost of running the facility is about 250 per night, but hopes funds will be raised so the shelter can be used next winter.
